High-Quality Mineral for Industrial Use

Talc / Soapstone Powder

Talc, commonly known as Soapstone Powder, is a naturally occurring mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate. It is  the world’s  softest mineral on the Mohs hardness scale one, giving it a smooth and silky texture.

The powder is white to off-white in color, fine in texture, and chemically inert. Its plate-like crystalline structure provides excellent lubricity, softness, and resistance to heat and chemicals.

It is widely used in industries such as plastics, rubber, paints & coatings (decorative, industrial, coil, & marine), polyester putties, adhesive-sealants, cosmetics, ceramics, paper, and many more. It enhances strength, improves finish, and acts as a cost-effective filler in many products.

In agriculture, it is often used as a carrier for fertilizers and pesticides due to its stability and easy blending properties.

Talc is non-toxic, odorless, and safe to handle, making it a reliable mineral for diverse applications ranging from industrial to personal care products.

APS Minerals produces different grades of talc powders under the “APS Talc” series, offering multiple brightness/whiteness levels and a wide range of particle sizes, and also catering premium grade with high aspect ratio talc for high end applications.
